PenangCat — the cat's guide to Penang
the cat's guide to Penang
I am PenangCat. I live in George Town, on an island that smells of char kway teow and sea rain.
Penang taught me to be slow. The street art here is not in a hurry — it appears on walls overnight, like a cat appears on a wall. The cats are not in a hurry. They sit in the lanes of George Town and watch the world walk past, and the world slows down to watch them back.
Little India spills music and turmeric into the lane at dusk. The clan jetties hold the water like old hands hold tea. Penang Hill rises above the heat, cool and quiet. Food is how this island says good morning.
«Penang is the capital of marCATing» — raw, in his travel diary, on new era marketing.
